History of Anna Park
It's a family establishment at Oberá founded by Erik Barney, a Swedish immigrant who planted his first ebbals in 1923 and his name's his wife, Anna Nylén. Since the late 80s his son Erik, an electromechanical engineer, directed her to organic production and was one of the first certified organic yerbas of the country (IEA, since 1995).
Background
Today, the third generation (Juan Barney) holds native mountain reserves at Campo Ramón and export to the U.S., Australia, Russia and Chile. In 2025 she received the Mate Order from the Misiones Government and in 2026 a great gold at the Yerba mate World Cup.
