History of Abuelo Yerbatero
It's one of the yerbas that sells the Garden Flower Cooperative, founded in 1973 by Yebatero producers from Colonia Sol de Mayo, in Garden America (Misiones). The co-operative sells most of its yerba canchada to large mills and reserves a small part for its own brands.
Background
In addition to yerba, the co-operative was diversified with tanned, sweet and mandioca starch and has a sales and tasting room on National Route 12.
